  5. This procedure provides step by step instructions to remove
  6. the application you selected. 
  7.  
  8.  
  9. You may want to perform the optional steps listed below prior to 
  10. removing the application you selected.
  11.  
  12.          o Create a rescue diskette using the Build Rescue Diskette 
  13.            command on the Tools Menu.
  14.          o Backup the application files using your backup software 
  15.            by selecting Backup Software command on the Tools Menu.

  19. = AUTOEXEC.BAT UPDATES =

  22. 1. Open the AUTOEXEC.BAT file using the Open AUTOEXEC.BAT 
  23.    command on the Configuration Menu.
  24. 2. Make the updates listed below.
  25.      Update SET PATH line
  26.           From: SET PATH=%PATH%;C:\USEFULAP
  27.           To:  SET PATH=%PATH%
  28. 3. Save and close the AUTOEXEC.BAT file using commands on the File Menu.
  29.    Do not reboot your computer.

  35. 1. Open the WIN.INI file using the Open WIN.INI 
  36.    command on the Configuration Menu.
  37. 2. Make the updates listed below.

  44. 3. Save and close the WIN.INI file using commands on the File Menu.

  53.    the registration database editor that is part of Windows. You may access
  54.    this editor by selecting the Run Regedit command on the Configuration Menu.

  62. 1. Delete the Program Manager Groups and Items listed below. To delete an item,
  63.    select the item in your Program Manager and press the <del> key. To delete a
  64.    group that is empty, activate the group and press the <del> key.
